The fuse is really hot ? if so check your fan to see if it will turn by hand with the fuse out/fan disconnected obviously . It might be siezed up.

I've had constant problems with my 1997 cooper cooling system. First dodgy radiator cap, then the fan wouldn't stop running, sensor changed and now the fan won't kick in resulting in lots of steam.
I checked the fuse which had blown. I changed the fuse and unplugged the sensor and still no fan. I went back to the fuse and it was really hot.
Any suggestions, apologies if this has already been answered somewhere on this forum.
Thanks
Stuart

Where is the steam coming from? My guess is the new cap, there's been lots of problems with these so it could still be your issue.

Thanks for the replies. Apologies for the delay in a response I have been snowed under.
It was the fan that had seized as per some of your replies.
Thanks again, hopefully this keeps the water in the radiator where it belongs.
