Where Does This Wire Go? Here's A Challenge...

I cannot see where this wire should go - I'm sitting here reading a Haynes manual but I cannot find it.

Coil negative, what type of distributor is fitted?( points or electronic?!)

Coil + its a supressor to cut down coil noise on radios and the like, and is fitted on the live terminal of both alternator and coil. new radios dont suffer these days like the old ones

Should have said the slot in the body goes under a bolt so its earthed, you can take it off and see if you get any noise on your radio, if you have one?
