Hello there.

Something weird happened... I just bought my first Mini. I didn't plan it at all but somehow I offered to buy a mini if someday my girlfriends colleague happens to sell it. So there it is...

It's a 1993 Rover Mini Cooper.

Love it already.

Never had a car as a hobby and now I'm supposed to deal with it and fix it.

It has lots of fixing to do but I have all the winters left to work with it.

Best regards,

Janne from Finland

Hello Janne welcome to the forum, you can either upload pictures via photobucket and use the direct link then click on the image icon to bring them up or you can click on 'More Reply Options' and upload them with thumbnails by clicking on 'Choose Files...' just next to the paper clip on the bottom left under 'Attach Files'. I find the thumbnail way a lot more straight forward and quicker but the catch is your limited to how many pictures you can upload 10 at a time. Hope this helps!!

Very nice indeed  :mrcool:

I bought a set of alloys for my mini they're the same ones you have on yours, originally I thought they were Metro or Metro Turbo wheels but I've looked up a few adverts and turns out they were put on some limited edition models such as the Ritz and Chelsea

I thought the Mary quants had steel wheels with trims and a black flower emblem in the centres?

Thanks... It sure is a nice looking piece...

History in short... as far as I know, it came from Germany to Finland around 2006... My guess would be that due to papers I went through.
It has had two female owners in Finland. The first Finnish owner used Mini around the year since it has winter tires and ext.heater for engine. The second owner was a friend of ours and she only could sell the Mini if it ended up in familiar home :) So there it is in our garage.

There's lots of things on to-do-list :/

1) meters on dashboard

-somehow the speed is shown just about right,

-rpm meter doesn't work, shows only around 1000rpm

-gas meter... not sure if it works (I better be sure soooooon)

-also the oil pressure meter has to be checked...

2) rust... and some more rust...

- there's plenty of spots to fix.

Should I fix them by myself or just buy new metal to it?

And the most important thing...

3) find some nice wheels (13")

... also some minor tasks

new seats, fix the lousy paint job in front fender.
