On my mini, which is only used on track, I have gaz coilovers allround. They are fitted with the springs that came with them.

Does anyone know what rating these springs are?

Also, I think I need stiffer springs, can anyone recommend what ones I would need and where I can get them from?

Thanks

Joe

ain't got a clue about springs, i know mini sellers sell 2 type lower or standard height spring. i'm not an expert but wouldn't increasing the damping help with the stiffness? if all else fail look for motorsport suppliers and explain your situation.

there is a differance between damping and spring rates, the coilovers i got had the spring rate engraved on the top flat part of the spring, not all are going to be the same, if not marked i would contact the supplier and see what they send out as standard fitment

I'll have a look at the springs when I get home tonight and see what they say.

What rate springs did yours come with V8mini? I suppose the weight of the v8 makes them not comparable.

At the moment I have too much damping to compensate for the too soft springs, not ideal.
