Hi;

I have picked up most of the information I need but I just need to clarify some timings for the following steps.

I'll be painting the underside of my Mini using the following steps:

1. Treated or removed Surface Rust.
2. Epoxy Primer 2 Coats.
3. Seam Sealer.
4. Epoxy Primer 1 Coat.
5. Gravitex (U-POL) with Shutz Gun.
6. Cellulose Top Coat (Sufficient Coats to colour)

I'll also be painting the inside the boot, inside the car (specifically the floor).

1. Surfaces keyed with 320 Grit Wet and Dry (Old Paint and Bare Metal, minimal surface Rust).
2. Epoxy Primer 2 Coats.
3. Seam Sealer.
4. Epoxy Primer 1 Coat.
5. Cellulose Top Coat (2 -3 Coats)

How long do I need to leave between the coats of Epoxy?
How long to I need to leave before Seam Sealing?
How long do I need to leave before spraying Epoxy Primer over the Seam Sealer?
How long do I need to leave before spraying U-POL Gravitex over the Epoxy (thread here suggest there may be a reaction) should I spray a couple of smooth thinned coats of Gravitex? If so how much thinners?
How long do I need to leave before spraying Top coat over Gravitex or over Epoxy if not using Gravitex?

I understand that if I leave the Epoxy once it is 'Through Dry' (10 Days or so) it will need to be keyed with 800 Grit Wet and Dry?

I am looking for the quickest timings / days but obviously want to do it right?

Epoxy being used is Jotun Jotamastic 87

Thanks

You can wet on wet the coats of epoxy leaving just enough time for the paint to flash off to test this touch a but of the masking tape that will have overspray on if the paint is tacky but doesn't come off on your finger it's flashed off this should be no more than 30 mins the same can be done for the top cost too. You should be ok sealing after an hour or two and your sealer should have a curing/overpaint time for you to reprime. If your using gravitex it says you can over paint wet on wet in 30 mins but I would leave an hour before top coat
