Hi everyone!

I've just brought my old mini back from my brother who was going to scrap it!
It was my first ever car so I thought I better save it from... :'( ... I don't want to talk about it.

Anyway, it failed it's MOT on a rusty sill & number 3 isn't firing for some reason. My bro, being a student, hasn't got the money to fix it up so I offered to clear some of his debt & take the mini off his hands.

It was standard when I got it back in '98. I did the old Stage 1, hi-lows, Spax, cosmic wheels, low back classics, Luke harnesses & added loads of chrome bits. I only had it for a year and sold it to my bro when I got my MK2 Cortina.

I'm a full on petrol head & I've ended up keeping all the cars I've ever brought...

^ which is what I've been spending most of my money on over the last couple of years.

As you can see, I'm a RWD convert but I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of my old go-kart.

So I'll be frequenting this nice looking forum from now on!

Ay up mate, how's it going. Cool that your saving your first car and of course that it's a Mini!!

I've only been on here for a short time but it's a cool site with loads of useful info and helpful bods.

I like the retro look of your motor, that's what i'm trying to achieve with my baby. Is she going to stay like that or have you got plans for her (other than to get through the MOT!!)

Yes mate, I plan to have a bit of body work done to get her smart again & prob a black roof.... & depending whats up with the 998 maybe drop a 1275 in there.

Oh, & it could use some lil discs on the front.
