I recently purchased a 2002 mini cooper with a 1.6 liter engine ,the former owner overheated the eng & drove until it quit ,I have replaced the engine ,everything seems fine except the exhaust manifold temperature seems high ,it runs between 400 - 650 degree Fahrenheit ,some of the other cars I own (mostly domestic) seem to run 300-400 range, the engine temp is half way on the gage which is where I think it should be ,I haven't driven it much ,I don't want to melt my new engine ,if someone knows what it should be or could check theirs I would appreciate the feed back
