To add... Next time there's a show, just stick it in the concours section if they have one for MK3's you never know... would not be surprised if were placed.

I would say £4000

It's nice to see genuine MK3s out there still. I'd say that £4k is a 'fair' price for this. Knowing how rare proper MK3s are getting now, it's worth investing in this one.

One thing I do have a question about though, is whether it's rod or remote change? It looks like it's a rod change tunnel.
I wonder if the MK3 had almost a Mk3.5 variant, which had the twin bolt front subframe, but had rod change box?

It did so to speak, the rod change was introduced in 1973 in the middle of MK3 production, so those manufactured between '73 and '76 should be a solid mounted front subframe ( twin bolt ) with a rod change box.
Not sure when they changed on the 850's and Commercials, but the above applies to all other mini variants.

Thanks, John. I've always been confused by when the rod-change came in!

Nice original example
Not all early mk3 features as John said it it has the solid front subframe it is mk3 / 3,5 ike.
3-4 k deprnding on the speed of sale required in my opinion.
Less mk3 and mk2 around than mk1s it seems
