Hi;

I will shortly be fitting my Rear Valance and Closing Panels (These ones with the Subframe Mounts (Non Genuine)).

Happy with bolting it and clamping it in place but what method of welding is used to fix it, i guess where there is a mating fold / lip it would be Spot Welded?

The Rear Valance I guess is spot welded to the rear lip of the Boot Floor.

Anyone got any good pics of fitting the Closing Panel and the Rear Valance?

Thanks

it's only plug/spot welds from factory, some to the boot floor where the bolts go through and then around the edge of the valance. you can see the spot welds in this picture.

I haven't got any pictures but if you bolt the panels to the boot floor using the subframe mount holes and then offer up the valence to check that it sits tight to the curved edge of the close out panels. If it doesn't, you will need to make some adjustments so that it does otherwise the valance will pull out of shape when you pull it into line.

as for welding, Plenty  of Mig plugs to secure it to the floor from underneath and then mig plug through the outer face of the valance to the curved part of the close outs and finally a row of plugs from the outer edge of the close out to the ends of the valance.
