I am currently waiting to remove my ball joint I am looking to get a scissor type tool is there different sizes or just an universal type I am looking to get this one 18mm jaw and 50mm opening will this one be Ok ? If not can some point be the right way please

They are fairly universal, that one should do the trick.

It's the same as one of the ones I use and is fine on minis, the trick is trying to get it in position without damaging the rubber cover, but that can be said of all types of splitter.
