Just bought myself another project but the engine that is in at the moment is sitting about 10/15mm further forwards then it should, not allowing the bonnet to shut. Any ideas?

Is the rad wobbly?

If it's sitting high it might not be in the bracket on the bottom?

If the subframe was an auto one it has special mounts to allow a manual to fit, but it should!

The other thing is that they might of replaced the wings and have fitted then wrong

I have got the bonnet to close properly now.... I think but it still looks like its sitting wrong in the car. The rad is defiantly fixed properly and it lines up with the fan fine. All the brackets are attached, Anyone else have there engine sitting in the same sort of place its an 89 and i have compared it to an 84 and the engine is definably further forward on the 89.

The later cars have the engines further forward!
