Hi all, my oil pressure light comes on at idle but goes off when the engine revs. Any ideas?

or faulty oil pressure sender / old oil / filter / sticking oil relief / worn pump / engine

get a (known good) gauge on it for a second opinion

what is the pressure at revs

any new knocks / noises ?

how many miles - age - spec - cc

may not be all bad - but need info

The only way of really telling is to fit yourself a pressure gauge.

Is it on when all the time, or only when the engine is hot?

Ok from the sounds of it I need a pressure gauge on it before anything. Cheers!
