Hi all..

Im in the middle of putting things back together on my engine but need a bit on info on a few things please...

First, I am fitting a new clutch kit while its apart... how do I change the thrust bearing? Its a non verto early type... Do I need to press off and on again?

Second, which way does the oil slinger ring go on the crank? Its something I failed to pay attention to when I was stripping it...  Just want to be sure before I put the timing cover back on... its a 1275 with a double row chain and gears... not sure if that makes any difference...

Cheers

Thrust bearing - undo the two large nuts remove the plunger from the clutch cover take off the old bearing and tap the new bearing on with a suitable socket placed against the inner ring, careful not to damage the race.

The timing cover oil thrower - I borrowed this pic from another members post -

Awesome!! Thanks heaps for that... I did give the old bearing a good hit but it didnt move so will hit it a bit harder... :-)

Thanks for the pic... lip going towards the motor.. it did look very close to the timing cover the other way so just wanted to be sure...

Cheers..
