hi

 

potentially thinking of selling the beast. ive had it for ages, never finished it and now with building my mini7 and my job i really dont have time or a use for her. its really a show / track car, and il never have time to use it.  to be fully functioning it needs about a weeks work on it. finish the wiring, install the nodiz ECU (peasy squeazy) get the engine running and a few little touches here and there and she is done.

 

spec

 

1972 1275GT  (reshelled into a mk4 shell in the 90s)

 

body:

bare body rebuild

sandblasted, lightened and strengthened shell

roll cage installed

painted in martini racing green with a triumph off white roof

group 5 arches

stripped interior 

bucket seats

flocked GRP dash

lightweight carpet

 

suspension and brakes:

sandblasted subframes

strengthened

new rubbers all round

HILOs

GAZ dampers

arms and radius arms all painted

camber brackets

2 deg bottom arms and fat ass adjustable tie rods

 

alloy 4 pot callipers 

braided lines

servo

interiour routed brake lines with special tuning bias valve all set up bled ready to go

minifins

v3 force racing split rims in black. they fit proper smashing ;)

lows

 

all bearings, joints etc etc are all brand new no expense spared all parts blasted and undercoated and top coated black properly

 

engine

 

1312cc overbored

high comp engine 11:1  runs super unleaded only

6cc dished nural pistons

specialist components steel I beam rods

MED lightened wedged balanced and tuftrided crank

race bearings MED

lightened flywheel ( so its not horrible on the road! super light is NOT the best)

Specail tuning 649 cam

piper duplex timing gear

lightened followers

uprated pushrods

1.5:1 roller rockers

ported big valve 11 stud head, gone as large as you can without offsetting the valves

oil cooler on braided lines and -10 aeroquip

custom water system using a caterham C400 radiator samco and aluminium pipes!

hella DSN parts

weber 45 off of peter baldwins 06 winning miglia

7" long inlet manifold maniflow

3-1 large bore maniflow manifold into single box center exit exhaust

 

if ive forgotten anything i can remember the block is the ONLY original part left, the head casting is an old part but everything else is high spec aftermarket goodness. cost me silly money

 

gearbox

remote type gearbox

straight cut drop gears

straight cut gears

quaife ATB

hardy spicer driveshaft couplings

modified selectors for a shorter throw

 

this thing would be a deamon but..   i dunno what do people think?  dont tell me to just finish it or dont sell it nooo.  ive got my reasons:)
