Hi everyone, i'm currently restoring my clubman I've about got her on all fours and rolling my next job on the list is to strip and rebuild the engine for the road, it's a 1380 I used to use for racing.
Just looking for ideas on what sort of spec I should do, i'm aiming for around 100hp :)

First: scrap the idea of a 1380 and go for a 1330. You'll need frequent rebores when racing it, and reboring with a 1380 is near impssible/ very  expensive.

Our 113 bhp( on the wheels) spec :

310° scatter cam

Split weber 45 setup

Ported big valve cooper S head

Straight cut gearbox with a ( I think) 4.1 diff

1330 cc

113 bhp @ 7220 rpm

a rebore is out of the question as its the last bore size. you can have the bores linered back down in size to give you more life from the block.
