Slide Lock Fuel Cap Identification - What Is It?

Bought this fuel cap from a friend as I thought it was very nice, and a bit different.

 

Not seen one myself anywhere else, and wondered if anyone knew if it was indeed from a specific Mini, and if so, what/when/where?

For a very long time Minis didn't even have a locking cap. It looks like the key might be FS pattern, the same same as your doors, so it may well be a BL or BMC item - possibly MG?

I can just about see under the fuel cap a square logo of sorts that looks like a little W and a big B.

 

Quick google tells me it is probably a Wilmot Breeden cap.
