Hi, bit back story about me had my first Mini at 16 Mini Mayfair (D752RFC) hahaha thast sad right!!! then met Max Hunter (Mini7 racer) at school since then ive had 2 Minis from Dave Banwell (Mini7 racer) a Racing Green Q46*** which was a rotter but back when you could buy Minis for £50 a Black & Yellow modified one which Dave built to look like his race car.

and a piccadilly, other than the the Dave Banwell racer they've all been Scrapped.

Long Story Worth the Read Tho,

A few months ago (2 weeks before L2B) i started looking for another project on Ebay and came across a completly standard 95' Mini Sprite local to me the asking price was £450 so i didnt expect much but looking at the pictures it didnt seem to bad it had " a siezed engine" which was injection (never heard of it)lol so me and Max went there with a trailer and £400  had a look around, it had the usual rust nothing terminal then i asked him about the engine the guy said that it turns over but doesnt start??? RESULT!!!!! i nearly chewed his arm off he accepted the £400 and off we went to Hunters Garage,

The Challenge was set to do L2B2014 BUT we'd never really worked on an SPI before so were toying with the idea of going carb we researched online and came across TMF who showed us what to check, a new fuel pump was ordered and then we changed all the inline fuse near the bulkhead turned the key and.... not alot, it cough and splutted and we made the desision to take the head off as it seemed to be running on 3 cylinders, found one of the valves stuck open with and old crimp???

Max stripped it all down cleaned it all up and we bolted it all back together.

We made it to brighton with no issues!!!!!!!!

Since we started: the whole fuel systems been flushed, new fuel sender, new vac pipes, new air filter, new HT leads,

3 clock dash, Mini leather steering wheel, ultra rear lights, new headlights, 1.5 neg lower arms, adj HD tie bars,

W&P s/s exhaust, de cat, Chrome Grille,Clear Indicators All Round, Hi-Lo’s fitted to rear, Pressed No Plates,

Audi R8 Gear Knob, Front Tow Eye.

Since L2B ive been to Le Mans (we broke down at border control and the exhaust fell off getting on the ferry vac Pipe issue).

and have been to a few shows this year and joined MKMOC. MITP, Luton festival of transport, Newton longville festival of transport, BMC Shows.

The Castle combe action day will be the last one for it this year as its booked in for new front end, O/S inner, outer sills N/S outer sill, Boot Floor Repair, Top Dash Rail and tubbed rear arches and full respray.

Sorry for the essay i tried to keep it short and sweet!

Cheers Gower
