I am off to the Shetland Islands on Tuesday with work and just wondered what are the chances of seeing a classic mini there, i will have a bit of spare time so i will ask about and keep my eyes peeled, in amongst the whisky tasting and all that.

Perhaps a barn find might come my way but, i think i have more chance of winning the lottery.

I know of 2 minis on Shetland, there are various clubs in scotland, which motorway are you driving up, the A1 or M6?? There are a few minis just off the M90 in Fife, just north of Edinburgh, I could(depending on day/time) meet you at the Forth Road bridge for a chat about mini's/ all things scottish(not including the Indy Referendum!!)

I am setting off up the M6 at 04.00am to get to Perth to do a little job then, off to Aberdeen to catch the 18.30 ferry to Lerwick. I am relying on the satnav to guide me there so i am unsure of the exact route i will be taking.

PM me your mob number if you wish and, time permitting i will try to meet up at the bridge for a mini chat ( and convince you lot not to do it....... your not a bad bunch really )

Id imagine it will take you via the Kincardine Bridge, i know a few decent roads before joining the M90 motorway,
