is there any difference between a 43d and a 45d distributor. I,ve got a 43d and I need a new cap but the 43d doesn't seem to appear in any parts lists.

If I remember, the 43D was the 45D without vacuum advance. The caps and rotors should be the same. However, I would wait for others to confirm my memory before you buy any parts.

Same as the 25D which was main stream and the Cooper S had a distributor numbered 23D which had no vacuum advance, internals bits should be the same and the cap
