Been looking for a rev counter for ages to no avail...

want to modify one from the three clock set up by putting it into a different case/body/pod  but can't get one at a reasonable price..HOWEVER......

just managed to get hold of a 120mph grey faced set up from a Clubby........should I bastardise this 3 clock set up in order to use the very classy rev counter or wait until I can find a reasonably priced normal one that I can re-house...????

The clock's ticking....

I may be wrong but I thought most 3 clocks have the rev counter separated anyway?

Yeah....................but I am using a centre speedo set up retro look .........and I need a rev counter out of a 3 clock set up .as I can't find any decently priced rev counters............

When I said re-house I mean put into a different pod/body so that I can re-mount it near the steering wheel.

Thanks for the replies..................the after market ones are the reason that I'm still looking.......can't quite see myself with a TIM 52mm rev counter.

however the fiat one is interesting so may just popdown the scrappy and ave a browse.....for something different. Decided a =s of yet that te 1275 GT ones are too good to bastardise so may just sell em got to worth a few quid at least ain't they ?

Don't cut up a GT / mini 25 clock setup! They are pretty rare now, I would personally find an after market rev counter for your needs. Also they aren't the best rev counters (mine bounces a lot), my plan is to find a 5 inch rev counter like you get on american hot rods.

Agree with you But all the aftermarket ones ie Tim and his mates a. Don't look good and b. Don't go hi enough.
Looking at some out of an old Mg or Ford or Spitfire maybe. They are big go up to 8000plus however they all seem to be £80 plus..........

Ok rev counter now in and mounted.....looks really good and retro so now debating whether or not to sell the 1275 GT 120mph set ? Not really worried bout how much they are worth just want to em to go to a new home where someone will appreciate em AND so l won't be tempted to bastardise em in a moment of weakness....
