The radiator auxiliary fan switch at the bottom of the radiator only controls the relay coil. That is fed from fuse F5-6 a 25A fuse on the fuse box with a light green/orange wire that goes to the relay coil. It comes out on the other side of the relay coil as a light green/white wire that goes to the switch on the radiator. The power to relay contacts comes line fuse LF5 15A fuse with a purple wire coming out and going to the relay and goes out to the motor on black/green wire.
If the car stalls and the fuse blows there has to be an intermittent short to ground/earth on either the purple wire or the black/green wire. That fuse is only for the fan, the car should run with it blown, unless somebody did some creative rewiring.
Other unlikely possibilities would be an intermittent short on the fan motor or a dirty/corroded connection on the fuse holder.
The fan switch is just an innocent bystander. That is my take.
