Hi, my first post so forgive me if it is a redundant question. I have searched or air condition and found that part availability may be hard to come by. I think I have learned that the Japanese models have air. Yet I also see consoles with gaspers, but now I'm thinking those gaspers are for heat and not air. I'm in Texas and looking forward to a new purchase for my daughter and I. One item we would certainly appreciate is an A/C. Any tips on where and how to find units? Does it require a specific size engine? Many Thanks

A/c Addition?

He hasn't said it is gone. I don't think he had much interest to be honest.
Mind you, he only wanted a valuation so i'm not sure he even advertised it for sale.
Might be worth PM'ing him?

Don't worry, mine is a bare shell and i am on the look out for carpet because it's hard to find for my particular mini. Best to get in early with the less common parts if you ask me!

I can't remember the company name but I once found a web site for a classic car company that sold a few different retro fit heating and aircon systems for different cars and universal fit ones. A search on google should find it.

You might be able to adapt this kit for Mini's from Minimania in the USA.

Mini A/C Kits may be available soon from Florida USA:
"At this time we do not offer a kit for the Austin Mini Cooper. However, we are currently working on developing a kit for the Austin Mini that we hope to have together soon. Feel free to e-mail us at [email protected] to be added to our mailing list so that we may notify you when the Austin Mini Kit is available."

Thanks to everyone!
Thank you Mab01uk.. I did speak with a guy at Minimania here in the states (Don) and he too said that they might have a system ready by the end of the year. I know it sounds ignorant (because I currently am), but I'm not sure what is exactly meant when you say may be available for the Austin Mini. While I've loved minis all my life, I never knew there were so many. I'm only just now learning the differences. Therefore I am unable to differentiate between an Austin Mini, Mini Cooper, etc.. I thank you for the information and will certainly will email to nackits.com..
Many thanks to all...

There were many versions of the Mini between 1959-2000 with names like Austin, Morris, BMC, BL, Rover, Cooper, etc but they are all essentially the same design under the skin so don't worry too much. Austin is often the most common name used on export models before it became just a 'Mini' as a brand in 1969.......it was not until the New or BMW MINI came out in 2001 that the Mini became a completely new design from scratch often shown as MINI with capital letters in write ups.
