just wondering is it possible to turn a mini shell into a pickup? front half is the same but from back of the floor on new panels would be brought. but then i was thinking the logbooks wouldnt match up as it would say mini saloon but can i contact dvla and say its been turned into a pickup? not sure how it works.

Basically everything from the A pillar backwards if different... So yes it could be done but would be cheaper to buy a pickup.

As there is a lot more in common between the estate and a pickup, they just chop the back off...

M-Machine do enough panels to make a saloon into a pickup but you would have to get it IVA'd due to the structural changes.

thanks tupers and would there be a problem going threw this if its all done exact to what a pickup is? the work involved would only be the same as a really rotten pickup that needs all the panels repaired. im also thinking would it work out cheaper to rebuild one like this then paying out a few grand for a rotten pickup.
