Clarke 205Te Welder

I was told it's the control board that was the issue and it worked perfectly before hand and the only reason he didn't get it fixed was due to his work commitments and couldn't wait for the board to be repaired so he simply replaced it with a new welder and this one was therefore left to collect dust.
Does anyone know much about these welders and is it a common fault?
Would it be best to just buy a new board or try and get this one repaired and does anyone know where would be best to look at for it to get repaired?
Thanks.
