Im looking at getting a 1275 Spi and converting it to carb.

it comes with engine, subframe and disk assembily.

could i un bolt my old subframe and lift the car over the engine and bolt the new sub frame in wiith the engine ad hubs all in one go? is this difficult to do?

It's very easy to do. But you will still need either an engine hoist to lift the shell or at least 4 strong mates as it is will heavy without the engine in.
