considering the gear selector seal isn't in properly, I'd go with that

That is almost impossible to tell from that picture.
To find oil leaks, always trace where the oil is coming from by going upwards.

As Stocky said above, its most likely the gear selector seal Paul. Aftermarket seal kits are available from Minispares and fairly straightforward to fit. I did mine 7 months ago and its been fine since.
