Hia guys. New to the site, was recomended by a guy in Jersey so i thought i would sign up.

First of all im sorry if this is the wrong section.

This is my mini story. I wont include to much writting as i sure the majority of you will scan through the pictures. Mods feel free to move to the appropriate forum if this is not applicable.

About three years ago my brother and four of his freinds brought a mini from Yate scrapyard for £150.00 intending to fully restore everything and make a healthy profit.

It had been written off due to it having completly rusted to :xxx: roof, rear vallence, bonnet, and the doors were completly shot. Oh and i nearly forgot, the kid who owned it before rolled it. Not as bad as it sounds, it was just a bit around the size of my PC screen, which was crushed in.

So after a few months of owning the mini, the lads has sorted most rust, got the doors fibrelgassed and little odds and sods

The above photos are how the guys left the mini. With cars of their own and little money they lost interest quick with the mini. So i decided to buy it off them for £300.00.

Soon i got to work, stripping the car down and primming the car.

With more prep work and deciding colours i painted the roof white.

Then the blue went on....

And the rebuilding took place. And thats where alot of money went replacing parts for new.
(please remeber the respray took place this time last year. And some of the folowing photos might have been taken over the past few months)

That is the door card i covered in leather, obviously the other 3 are the same as that. Soon i will get the rear bench recoverd in the same material and source some recaroes or something simlar for the front.

And finally the underside...

The whole restoration was an experience i will never forget. I took it on when i was 15, im now 17 and the car is pritty much ready for the MOT which she will take next week i hope. Cost alot of money and more patience than i can imagion but shes quite close to being finished.

Thanks for your time. Chris.

That is a georgous car and a lot of hard work by the looks of it...only one criticism - some very large pics there...if you can resize them to 640x480, or maybe a little smaller, but not too small (480x360 would probably be better)

Welcome to tmf and what a car! I thought when you started your post it was going to be another tale of nearly-did and almost-managed-it but wow! you've produced a stunner.

And all those photos ... your birthday? Like to tell us about some of the other human subjects ;) :w00t:

Every picture tells a story ...... "meatemptinmgtostartstevie" ;)

Yeah i think every mini owner has had trouble starting thier car mate haha, just so happens i have a picture of it.

The dash is not home made i brought it from a guy who i think has stoped selling them now. I forget the name of the dash. I have only ever seen 2 dashes for sale and none ever fitted to a mini. It was sprayed last week and im picking it up today so i will show you pictures of what it looks like now.

Excuse the size of some of the pictures, usually photobucket re-sizes them.

And finally some videos. I think i pasted the wrong links.
