I must be the only one who has had no problem fitting a magnum hinge panel... went straight on with no probs but mine has the rubber on the bootlid if that makes a difference

cheers james

Yeah mine has the rubber on the boot lid also, just dont seem to push into the rubber all the way around, does yours seal up nice and every thing with no leaks.

Thanks

Marcus

hi marcus..... it could be the fact i made sure i cut it before the curve on each side , but i made sure it lined up before i fully welded it in , the rubber sits fine inside the channel .... you may need to loosen the brackets on the boot lid and hinge panel then line it up and lock the boot and tighten the bolts after you have taken the rear lights out

Cheers james

Hey, Yeah i tried that with the bolts etc, I think I am going to order up a new panel and try again, mine had been moved around the garage for a while and could have been bent etc,

If the new panel does not work, might get someone I know to make one haha

Thanks

Marcus

try ordering the next one from a different supplier. Although it will still be a magnum one, perhaps the supplier you used before had a bad batch?

Hi Marcusw

I too fitted the hinge repair panel, and like you, the fit was not so good. So as suggested I swapped for a bootlid with the rubber seal mounted to the car (not the boot lid) and the seal was much better.

Hope you solve the issue soon.

David
