You dont need an extra water pump, my 1275 road spec engine can sit at 80 all day :)

That is not his question of asking if he requires one or not, he is asking which one do others fit. That means if you have never fitted one don't answer, if you have which one can you recommend etc.

To be honest, the electronic fans should only be used as an auxillary unit

UNLESS on a race engine

I run a Davies Craig water pump with controller and no mechanical pump. If you do a search on TMF its been briefly discussed before.

I removed all the internals of the mechanical pump and welded up the spindle hole. My engines not exactly pure mini but the principle should be the same.

A quick Google should bring up more info about the pumps and plumbing, plus alternatives.

Depending on which one you fit, finding space can be awkward.

Yep I had seen those ones on demon tweeks web site.

Which is what got me thinking.

The aux one to kerp the water moving after switch off if I went with the same as the T4 has is still about £120 which got me thinking about why not go fully electric.

Space not really an issue. Front mounted rad. So place in the bottom of the big hose and mount where the dude rad would have been.

As to the rest of the posters. Did you not see what section this was posted in? What spec is the engine. Let's just say not bad for a A series.

I run a Davis Craig cwp 80 with no controller. With no mech pump and a alloy brise rad, stays at 68 deg when racing and upto 74 when drafting for 4-6 laps on my miglia

Nice. Might drop them a line and see if the do one with the hose outlet in the same orientation as the original.

I think it was a good idea to up the battery size as I don't run an alternator..

Then the standard pump should be about 32 as well then?

I am running pipe across plugs and into front mount Mini rad and from pump down and to the front. I think it is basically the early Mini front mount set up.

Just been looking at the pictures on DT and it looks like you can configure it as required. So it would be placed just about where original was and hiss routing as is.

Me like a lot.

Bellow is a set-up ran by someone on Turbo Minis. I don't have a link to his thread but it's worth searching for, there was lots of good tech.
