I gave been putting this of for a couple weeks, but as the colder weather approaches it's time to get my ass in gear.

I think I know what I need to do (I have a wiring diagram).

I was thinking of using the same switch as for the existing rear screen. Can I do that?

If you run it through a relay yes, not directly though. The heated screens draw 17A per circuit (the circuits in single and twin circuit screens are the same oddly) and the rocker switches are rated at 16A. The rear screen is only 5A.

The real question is do you always want them on together! In my experience you often want one and not the other. That's a lot of unnecessary current drain for the sake of a switch!

I agree, id be splicing the wiring on the input for thr rear, so the front is on a relay and seperate switch

I have a heated screen fitted to my mini and I ran it through a relay and I have had both front and rear screens on at the same time with no problems...and the front screen clears so quick within 5mins on winter morns........well worth the money.... :highfive:

Gonna wire this up this weekend.

I almost have my head around the wiring…..one further query where should i take the supply for the switch from (ignition controlled supply). or in other words the wire which runs to the switch and then pin 86 on the relay.
