Hi all i am dan. I have been a mini owner for three years now. My first was a 1972, 850cc. Am not going to lie it was slow.

So i upgraded it to a 1275 and it was much better.

Then i went out a brought a 1380 clubman estate wich is nice and i love him.

He is my daily vehicle and i realy DID enjoy driving him till I lent him to my friend and this happened

I was'nt mad at the end of the day I lent it to him and these things happen. I had in mind a full rebulid as it was last restored over 14 years ago. It wsa also fetured in the mini magazine in july 1997 and it looked like this.

As you can see he has changed a bit since then. he had 57000 untill i rebuilt the engine.

I started taking him apart today.

This is as far as i managed to get befor I got stuck with trying to get the wiring loom out in one peace and threw the towel in.

I want him to be a real head turner when i have finished.

Well i did a bit more on the estate today. I started pulling the interior out as well as wiring loom. I will be putting a new one in maybe even a custom one.

Well both the front and rear subframes are off and not one bolt sheared. That's a win for me I think. The front sub was mint but the rear was shafted. I just have the steering wrack to take off one rear door and both side windows. It will be a bare shell be for the weekend then I can start bashing that rear wing out. I found one hole. The shell is really solid.

And this is what I have to bash cut and weld up.

So I have the shell bare now. I have been looking for a new rear wing for him but I have hit a wall.
Has any one got any panels direct form heritage ? I had a little thought that they might still have the mould's for an estate. Any help would be good.
