Hi All,

What is the value of my classic mini limited edition Red Hot? It has a full 12 month MOT and 8 months tax. It has 67K on the clock and is used daily.

Recent work includes new standard exhaust, ball joints, new handbrake cable, new sub-frame mounts, new door handles with barrels, walnut dashboard and ICE. All work completed by Jon Speed in Nuneaton.

The mini was resprayed and restored last October - It had 2 new wings and front panel and all other rust removed, and the whole car was painted the original red, then finished with the original decals for a red hot edition. I have added a walnut dash with Kenwood CD player with two speakers.

The engine is very clean and a standard 998 with chrome rocker cover, new HT leads and recent service.

According to How Many Left there are only 56 licensed Red Hots in existence.

I'd take "how many left" with a pinch of salt. It's known to be wildly inaccurate.

Fantastic looking motor though! I'm not expert unfortunately but I'd pay £3k.

Much of the added value of any limited edition tends to be held in it's original spec. As yours is modified then you're unlikely to see any if that added value unless you were to return it to the original redhot spec (I.e without the bonnet stripes and with the the original roof colour, dash, wheels, tail lamp lenses etc.)

Tidy looking example though, if you were looking sell then probably somewhere around the £3k mark, maybe with a few hundred on top if it were returned to original spec. For agreed valuation insurance purposes I'd say more around the £4.5k mark though.
