Hello

i have for sale a complete Yamaha R1 engine 4XV. 1999-2000 plus extras

i bought this about 3 years ago and was intending to do a pro motive conversion, but then my plans changed.

Engine spec:

998cc

20 valve, 5 valves per cylinder

6 speed

150 bhp

80 ft-lb

38 MPG  (in a bike)

a little history about the engine,

the bike was originally bought and owned by a bike shop in the surrey area , it was well looked after, service regular as you would expect. no expense spared

it was then bought by the preious owner, who also looked after it , oil changes every 1000 miles, it had just been serviced and also had its valve clearance check just before 21000 miles, so that all sorted and does not need doing.

the bike itself was taken off the road about 4 years ago, due to the rear light bar on the frame broke off so no rear lights could mounted. so it was no longer road legal.

i then bought the engine, frame and registration from him for the pro motive conversion.

What you are buying:

a complete R1 engine. gearbox ( 21433 miles )

complete loom, ( plus a spare stripped loom)

rectifier

EXUP motor and cables

Rad, and electric fan

ECU

carbs

Manifold

Exhaust, carbon silencer sides

fuel pump

coils, plugs and leads

airbox

gear change arm

Sprocket cover

clocks

all pipes and hoses,connectors

handle bar kill switch, with start switch/ lights.

relays, fuses, etc

engine mount bolts,

Yamaha R1 Haynes manual

R1 Frame, with carbon frame covers

V5C

number plate

i have the V5C in my name, ( currently SORN ) the frame numbers and engine number all match, so this is not a written off or stolen bike or engine.

the engine can be started and run on the trolley, so can be heard running at any time ( and its such a nice sound )

revs freely , no bad smoke , idles nicely, every thing works. EVERYTHING

i have done the wiring conversion to get around the bike lock/ immobiliser which is built into the loom so that it can be started out of a bike( which is needed if putting into a mini)

everything is here, engine side to do a bike engine conversion , with the added bonus of seeing and hearing it running

£1000

i am selling it as a complete lot, i am not interested in splitting, i know a few of parts are not needed for the conversion so can be sold off buy the buyer.

Veiwing is more than welcome, collection only from the Eastbourne, East sussex Area
