Hey, i was wondering if anyone knows what this switch does in my car, i cant seem to find the handbook for it. On the interior switches in my car the very last switch, although i dont think its a switch? Has a (!) symbol on it.

The other night when comming home from work it lit up? Ive always though it was something to do with the brakes? Checked all the levels etc and clutch, but it still comes on. It seems to be when you let the car coast a the revs drop, however im not really sure.

I dont know if anyone else has had a problem like this or does anyone know what the light is for. Its the last switch on the left in the picture. The car is a Mini Equinox 1275 SPI, dont know if this helps?

The switches are from left to right, ??????, Heated window, Fogs, Hazards, Lights, then heater, the other switch doesnt throw it just seams to light up? Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers

you may want to give your lights a check over, check the bulbs, the earths and the connecters, bleed the system, that is your brake curcit alert as u say its only at low revs it does it?? dont hold me to all this but when where they last blead??

It's a low brake fluid lamp. Pressing the button simply tests whether the bulb is working in it.

Check your brake fluid level.

If the level is right on minimum it will light up as you press the brakes because some of the fluid is getting displaced into the brake system, reducing the level in the reservoir. If you have the direct servo then it could also light up as you slow down on engine braking due to the fluid sloshing forward in the reservior.
