Mg Metro Lightened Flywheel?!?

Hi i just tried to buy a lightened flywheel from minisport for my engine which is a mg metro engine, he said that you cannot put a lightened flywheel on that engine beacuase it is verto, is this true?????

No this is wrong. Perfectly possible. In fact I wrote an article for miniworld on this very thing.

Depends what you were ordering.... you can put a lightened flywheel on the engine, but needs to be the right one...

 

The whole clutch assembly consists of a spring, back plate, friction plate and flywheel... so if you're using a verto clutch system, you need a lightened flywheel for a verto clutch, if  you're using a diaphragm clutch then you need a lightened flywheel for a diaphragm clutch. The two are totally different.

I thought that mine is a verto one, anyone know where is the best/ cheapest place to get one?
