Replaced both front wheel bearings bought aftermarket ones off eBay came in branded ghk boxes fitted the new bearings and decided to do the 12 o'clock 6 o'clock check for play and there was play in the wheel ball joints where 're shimmed and the track rods where new so I can only assume poor bearings anyone else had similar stories

There are some poor bearings out there at the moment and it is one area that is worth paying extra for the genuine Timken ones. Also make sure the hubs aren't worn out as that will mean no bearings will help the problem.

Did you seat everything with a flat washer before fitting the taper washer? Did you clean any marks off the CV joint where the taper washer grips it?

All was cleaned, did not use the flat washer but I never have used one and I've never had an issue
