Has anyone fitted a light in their boot before? I am thinking of just putting in a simple system, with a manual switch and fuse.

Earthing it will be simple enough, but is there a way to take a permanent live feed straight off the battery? I don't fancy just pushing a bit of bare wire into the positive terminal and hoping it doesn't come loose.

You could probably use a ring terminal on the battery post bolt. But fit a fuse between battery and lamp ... just in case. I had a car kit where they used a connector that looked like a two prong fork.

You could take the feed from the rear lights if you only wanted it on when the lights were on.

As an alternative, you could just buy a couple of small magnetic backed battery lights and pop them on the underside of the rear parcel shelf. You just push the light to turn em on. Works for me.
