Quick Q...

I can see my upper engine steady bar with the two bushes and earth strap on the left hand side as you aren standing in front of the engine looking at the car.

Are there any more engine steady bars on my 98 Cooper? If so do they use the same bushes as the upper bar, i.e. these

There is one on the same side at the front of the engine, bolted to the front of the subframe

OK, does it use the same bushes as the upper bar, i.e. these?

Actually the lower steady bushes are different. The fixings are 3/8in whereas the top engine steady fixings are smaller diameter at 5/16in

I know the bolts are different but the diagram only shows the one type of bush?

The one piece bush KKF101320 is easy to fit in each end of the upper engine steady bar. It will fit the lower bar, but due to the larger diameter sleeve is more difficult. The other bush CRC5329 is easier to fit on the lower steady (4 off required)
