Hi I'm having a 1988 Mayfair restored not sure if to have it painted with metallic paint any thoughts.

Yeah Nightfire red is lovely (my mpi is Nightfire red) but it can vary dramatically as a friend of mine has an mpi in the same colour and both are W reg but his looks a lot more "richer" than mine

I guess it depends on what your car is like. Also have you asked about cost vs non metallic. My mpi is charcoal grey metallic (very dark) I love the look of it in the sun. My car isn't very period or anything so I think it suits it.
