Hi

We had to change our battery after a full diagnostic revealed it wasn't drawing enough charge etc. However, since replacing the battery the rear window demister has stopped working, I've checked the fuses and hey look good any other suggestions?

All other electrics are working, lights, heaters and stereo etc.

Thanks in advance

Get a multi-meter and check the power supply to the HRW switch in, then the HRW out with the switch in the ON position. If no current to the switch IN terminal, check the feed to the fuse and out of the fuse.

If there is power out of the switch, check that it is getting to the HRW in terminal, then, if it is not, check the earth connection.

The only way to diagnose electrical problems on classic cars is with a meter or circuit tester.

Issue resolved, replaced the fuses, took the switch out cleaned connections and refitted and now all works fine.

Just a note Batteries dont have a issue drawing enough charge, the alternators provides it, the battery is just a capacitor or storage device, have you confirmed the Alternators charging ok? Tests in the FAQs electrical
