I have recently brought a 1991 mini neon. I am having a problem when I put my headlights on. Every time I switch on my lights the green indicator lights on the instrument panel glow and slightly flash even though my indicators aren't on. Also the temperature and fuel gauges go right to the top even though the engine isn't hot and I haven't got a full tank. When I use full beam it causes the clock lights to go out, the indicator lights on the panel become brighter and don't flash and the blue light for full beam doesn't come on.

I have had the fuse box changed and it hasn't made any difference.

I've also found that when I switch on the air ventilation it turns on all the interior instrument lights even though the headlights are off.

Please help me?

I'm having some electrical issues with our 1991 mini neon too, although not as unusual as yours, our rear window demister isn't working since replacing the battery.

Sorry I can't help this time, hope you get your mini neon right soon.
