But take your time, and you get there.
I rebuilt mine, (HIF44) and it wasn't the easyiest thing I've ever done... but it works

Keep watching that ebay one and see if you can sneak a cheeky bid in at the last second.... or keep waiting, there's 1000's out there!! i have another one but it has no linkage and i can't be bothered messing with it.... will be on ebay next week.

There was no O-ring in the bottom of it though so once I fitted it fuel piddled out the bottom all over the manifold - nice!
Once that was sorted it worked great but as the old one was stuffed I can't really say how much better it'd be than a standard one in good nick.

I bought a Vizard modified one of ebay for 20-something quid a while back for my old clubby, probably the same chap selling them.

Check around - if they're all around the same money then I'd go for this one as I reckon he's less likely to bother doing the work to a dodgy carb than someone is to just sell a dodgy carb (if you get me).
Check the O-ring though.

(carb £50, Manifold £15, postage £15 including insurance) Seems to know what he's talking about.... i'll check the o ring just incase!!!! he also has a set of twin 1 1/4" Su's if you ask him.
