...trying to order some 6x13's minilites for my '97' mpi. Had Sportspack arches fitted and still have original 5x12's on. Everything has been altered accordingly but the dealer requires the poke distance and I don't have jacks/stuff to take the wheel off and measure.

Can/Does anyone have the approx poke distance/length from the hub flange face to the inner edge of the arch? I'm presuming it must be pretty standard?

Any help or advice would be welcome.

Cheers.

6"s will look lost with sport pack arches, sports pack wheels are 6j with an et22 offset (22mm)

Hi...thank you ...ok will go for 7's. Is the 'offset' the 'poke distance'?

Hi...thank you ...ok will go for 7's. Is the 'offset' the 'poke distance'?

'Poke distance' would usually refer to how far the wheel protrudes out from the wheel arch. For example if the wheel protrudes 2mm out from the sportspack wheel arch, then it has 2mm of wheel poke...

Offset is the position of the mounting face within the wheel. This will explain.

wheel-offset-diagram.jpg

0 offset means the distance between the outer side and inner side from the centre line of the wheel will be the same. An offset of ET22 will be positive, meaning the the distance between the wheel centre and it's mounting face is 22mm. an offset of ET-7 for example, would mean that the distance between the mounting face and the centre line is 7mm, but in the reverse direction, potentially giving more dish (depending on the style).

hope this helps.

Poke distance is not a means to measure anything.

It was a term thought up by kids to brag about something.

Just get wheels of the same spec as the sport pack.

Thanks for all the information...yams/nick/midas...

The reason I asked was because the information was requested by the guys at R & R Alloys.

The terms and details don't bother me i just want to make sure I get the right wheels lol ... asap ... I'm still confused because I don't quite understand what difference it will make with regards the wheels they have in stock. But they seem to be a good price...if anyone can link me to cheaper and same quality ...bugger the poke distance/offset lol...
