[Wills21]

I started a project thread on an Irish site back in March when I bought my first mini, I'll copy and paste everything I've posted so far on there and continue it on here for you guys to see, therefore alot of it may not make sense with dates and stuff lol.

 

It started out as a small project but that changed fast lol, so here goes

 

 

Bought this last weekend as a small project for the summer, always wanted a mini.



Started off with a CD player



Then cleaned down the front and gave it a coat of waxoil before fitting new black bumpers, refurbished grill, and removed the Cooper badge.



I've ordered 12x6 et-7 wheels from England, should have them next week fingers crossed, then it's some wider arches and more lows :)

Been a while since I've updated this, not sure wether to start a build thread or just continue this thread, for now I'll keep it here.

I decided a while back to go the whole hog and get the whole car done, it's with a guy at the minute having new floor panels, inner and outer sills both sides, two doors, new driver's side A panel and a full respray inside and out, only place not getting painted is the engine bay.

I've been busy the last while getting parts together for it, here's what I've got so far

Full roll cage
Sportspack arches
12" steelies banded to 7" wide
New lights/indicators
New windows
Polycarbonate door windows with square sliders
All new trim door handles etc

There are some more bits and pieces I can't think of at the minute, I'm getting the underneath schultzed aswell.

And here's the wheels before, need to get the arches fitted to find out how wide to go with the wheels

 

 

 

 

 

I've been talking to Chris1992 on here and he has been a great help re wheels/arches thanks buddy!  I'm seriously considering selling the sportspack arches and going with mexico arches aswell :)

looking great so far mate! cant wait to see the steelies once theyre banded. what colour are you thinking for them? im thinking black personally. or colour matched to the car could look interesting

Definitely black mate, going to match the wheels, grill, and front bumper the same shade of black (removing the rear bumper)

Progress on this has been very slow, only got my wheels back yesterday! Tyre fitters are struggling to get the tyres fitted

I went with Mexico arches, you were onto a winner with them I think, they're the best for going low

I'm not sure to be honest, I bought them off a guy that had them in a mk1 escort.

I wasn't happy with the paint at all hence the respray :)
