Hi all recently bought new licence plates for my mini from Halfords had to drill the holes myself they looked great for about a week but now I've noticed condensation behind the plastic of the plate and makes the licence plate look really scruffy,,,,anybody know what I can do?

Take them back and get a new set as they were clearly not fit for the purposes it was sold for.

If the condensation is around the holes that were drilled then it's nothing to do with how they were made, but how they were drilled

They may just send you on your way

I just use double sided foam tape to stick them on. Looks better and no leaking issues.

There's not really much you can do with them I'm afraid.

If at point of sale you said you would be drilling them and putting them on then they were sold to be drilled and fitted then they were not fit for the purpose they were sold for if the drilling has caused condensation.   Its sale of goods act stuff..... With it being halfords they are reasonably customer focused being a large chain so just ring the helpline or customer service and ask.

They were for for purpose, if they are drilled incorrectly then it will push the backing off a bit around the holes. They should be drilled from the front, with a sharp drill bit spinning quickly bit with not much pressure on it, with a flat block of wood or similar behind where you are drilling. This would prevent the backing from peeling
