Thought I ought to start a project thread to help me keep track of what I have done, and in case somebody would like to see a real barn find mini!, as in one thats been in a barn anyway!

Here is an original pic of her after an hour, in which we replaced a perished fuel hose, refitted clean carb and a new fuel pump, drained tank, unseized clutch with engine oil due to lack of any penetrating fluid!

due to going to sixth form and having to maintain cheap daily drivers, and the fact it is stored a fair drive from home, progress has been slow, however I am using the car as an analytical base for a foundation degree project (only exhaust modifications, dont worry, wouldnt cannabilise it) so now need it to be running, which i always wanted anyway, so progress has picked up again!

Since driven it was apparent it needed new brakes all round, service, steering rack gaiters and some electrics sorting, and a good clean obviously!

pushed outside for steering rack gaiters etc in better weather

what was left of steering rack gaiter

sorry for heavy text, will be more pics soon as I have now cleaned it and started on the brakes

haha, not quite, those were new tyres on some 5x10" cosmics which were with the car but not fitted, they make the car look much better though!

Looks tidy! just some shiny bits and tart the engine up and it'll look cracking.

i take it your project will be about optimizing gas flow?
