I'm a quarter of the way thro my prostate cancer treatment

37 days every day except weekends

taking female hormone therapy and radiation

starting feel the weakness now and tiredness

worse thing is you have to drink 4 glasses of water

to fill your bladder and hold it for half hour its like being tortured

that's the stressful bit not the radiation you don't feel anything

so you guys reading this over 50 keep an eye on things in that area

and catch it early

I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2011 at the age of 29.

Chemo was really bad, and it really delayed the mini build as I was often to sick to work on it.

The chemo effects are cumulative, so by the third round I was really tired.

Good luck, and keep positive

I am nearing that stage of my life when I need to start thinking about these things. What are the symptoms?

Hi Bob

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I had to look up fibromyalgia as I wasn't sure what it was. I think it's the same condition a friend of the family suffers with and it makes her tired and ache all over.

Did the Doctors expect this to be a problem with the radiation treatment ?

Sorry to hear about what your going through, my mum's been battling various different cancers for the last 35 years.

What always amazes me (and gives me a reality check) is her positive attitude and outlook on life, which has gotten her through the dark days.

Keep positive fella, and when you do get round to getting back out in the Mini again, if you have any difficulty in it starting, may I suggest this.... ;-)

Bob,

Have you had any radiotherapy or looked into potential surgery to remove your prostate?

Cancer hit our family just over a year ago. My dad was diagnosed with level 4 brain cancer after a car accident that he didn't remember having. He's terminally we've gone through radiotherapy, chemotherapy, experimental drugs and treatments to see if anything will slow it down. Life's **** at times.

Keep fighting it though mate, we're all behind you!

Not good Bob and i feel what you are going through.

Luckily for me i'm good, had a scare with my testes which turned out to be nothing more than a cyst. BUT its always worth checking. One of my techs has just had a second operation on his bladder after being diagnosed with Bladder cancer just before xmas. So anyone, if you have blood at all in your urine you need to get it checked.

Dave was lucky, the cancer was only in the lining of the bladder and had not got as far as the muscle. if that had happened then it becomes far more serious. The second operation is to check on the pockets formed in the bladder over a period of time. These are thinned areas of the lining where the cancer can perforate the lining far easier. Hopefully the outcome will be good.

So everyone, take heed of what folk are saying. If in doubt, do not be afraid of getting a check carried out, it may well save your life

I had a cancer on my arm and had it removed in November, luckily it was a single growth that doesn't spread so all I have is a big hole in my arm and a manly scare. Good luck to you mate I hope the vitamin thing works out for you.
