Owen's Mini

Because I don't want to follow the aesthetically norm with my mini. I want it to be something different and something that stands out. As James McNeil Whistler once said "The imitator is a poor kind of creature. If the man who paints a tree. or flower or other surface he sees before him were and artist, the king of artists would be the photographer." If it is my mini then I shall make it my mini. How can it be my own if it is like everyone else's?

Exactly, that's the route I'm taking with mine! I don't want to blend in with the hundreds of MK1 lookalikes, Minilite wheeled, Cooper styled Mini's. Need to stand out!

Has anyone ever offset their number plate? As in like the jap cars where it is off to one side. Just wondering what it looks like and whether it looks any good?

That's quite cool but I meant more like the standard number plate being offset along the bottom of the car.

Newton Commercial. Not the cheapest, but definitely the best.

Can't see why you can't do that. Alfa Romeos do it, but I can't see what would be achieved except from making the car look a bit odd.

I wasn't saying that just changing the number plate will make a difference. It's a combination of modifications that makes a car individual. You can either answer my question and post a picture of a car with an offset number plate or stop commenting on this as you are not answering my question.

Your question has been answered. There are photographs and comments confirming that it is legal and has been done many times whether by having a square plate on the bonnet or grille, or a rectangular plate offset under the bumper.

What more do you want people to say. There is only so much that can be done in terms of number plate positioning.

This is a general forum. Anyone can comment on any thread and this has to be accepted. There will always be a lot of banter on different threads.
