Bit of a novice but just got my mini back from the garage and was told there is a small coolant leak. Didn't say it was too bad.

Any suggestions as to where it might be? easy fix? basically want a little guidance to where it might be.

Thanks in advance :)

How come they didnt tell you where it was leaking from?

Thats a bit lame as it could be comming from a variety of sources............

Can you post a pic once you hace spotted it?

That is vague!  Fill up the radiator then dry everything around your engine (airline and/or rags), run your engine and tell us what area it's leaking from.  Rad end, clutch end, high or low etc

They should tell you where as the location will make a difference to the charge. Bypass hose v thermostat hose will be a different cost. I'm sure if you ask they will say where it is.

That aside If 'you' really can't spot the leak, check th fluid every day and see it is actually going down.

If it is then use some UV dye and a UV torch - £10 on ebay and you will easily find the leak without too much head scratching.
