Hey all

Got round to finally sorting out my rear HiLo's, got them fitted now just need to adjust, turns out I don't have any spanners big enough to do them.

Does anyone know of hand what sized the 2 nuts are? Mine are the Ripspeed ones but not at home to check sizes myself.

If you jack your rear up you can turn them by hand once the weight is off the wheels etc, at least that works on my rip speed ones or use an adjustable spanner

30mm ?

Tried turning by hand but can only turn a small amount.

I tried 25mm for the extension stud and 30mm for the lock nut but both seem to small.

I think it's a 26mm and 32mm but can't be sure until I get home.

Yes the rip speed ones are 26mm and 32mm

I bought a 10" snap on adjustable spanner off ebay for half that. Quality tool.

I did think about getting an adjustable but couldn't find any big enough in the shop and didn't want to wait for it to be delivered.

I found an adjustable spanner sat in the road by my house one day. It's perfect for adjusting Hilos.

Go check the road, see if there's one there for you.

You know what, I will do just that tonight on my way home.

But knowing my luck, when walking from the office to the train all I would find is a hooded yobo spitting at people (Joys of London town)

and on my way home from train to house all I would find is a set of false teeth (the joys of living surrounded by old people)
